A Little About How Sauna School Started…
My name is Brent, and I started this website to share what I have learned in the process of researching saunas with the ultimate goal of planning the building of my own sauna in our home.
I listen to podcasts like the Joe Rogan Experience, where I’ve heard unending positive reviews of saunas, and the amazing positive benefits of time spent in a sauna from very knowledgeable guests, including Rhonda Patrick, and it’s all been building my drive to get a sauna of our home.
…but I’m quite the planner, so I like to know fully what I’m doing before jumping in.
I found so much helpful info about saunas, that I decided to build this site to add everything to that I’ve learned, for me to go back on later, and to help everyone else wanting to build or buy a sauna just like me.
There are essentially two ways to go:
- Buy a pre-made sauna – either indoor or outdoor – or a sauna kit
- Or build your own sauna.
I’ve worked as a residential contractor, and have the skills and experience to build my own. So, I’ll be going that route, because I can do it myself, enjoy building things, and it will be cheaper.
But if you have little DIY abilities, or just don’t have the time to build your own, and you have the money, a pre-made sauna is the way to go…just know you’ll be spending more upfront for that convenience.
